In a house with all these rooms seems to live only two the window speaks with all their light through cobwebs from another life put the photographs away as we leave the garden of grey its hard to live in these time's its hard to wake up and stay alive put my photos in a frame when I get old I wont look the same put the costumes away as we leave the garden of grey Home Its what we know Its what we miss When we go...

Spring 1945 04:19
In the ides of february it felt more like July The sweat it froze above the corner of my eye and then I thought of you I thought of me about the person that I used to be and now i'm standing with a rifle in my arms a hollow version of that boy with a guitar turned into someone you don't know as you watch the angels melt into the snow I wrote a letter in the spring of 45' your wayward killer will be home in late July i'm ashamed of the things i've done traded your kisses for this blood thats on my tongue I'm homeward bound I missed this town I awoke on the west coast on a port that I don't know I must have slept for days dreaming of my home are you waiting there to see me cause I was left behind at the shores of Normandy the porthole showed a picture they're no longer closed through them I saw the woman walking up in droves but i'll just lay here cause I don't see I don't see no woman waiting here for me luanne she married, no she didn't wait for me even though she promised that our love it was the sea and even though the sea will take you from me her lies were vicious like those boys left on the beach I'm homeward bound I missed this town
